Bitone sponsors those children that otherwise would not have the means to pay for school because we believe education is a powerful mean to break the cycle of poverty. By investing in education, we are developing a generation of leaders that will drive economic development and create positive social change.

All the students sponsored have demonstrated talent and come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The majority of the students we fund are girls since girls are often minorities at the university level in Uganda. We fund our students’ education right from primary school to university. Since there aren’t many government-sponsored schools where the Bitone center is located, the organization sends students to private institutions where they receive quality education. Our scholarship and education program provides comprehensive support – including tuition, scholastic materials,stipends and a wide range of supplemental training programs – that empowers our students to become leaders in their fields. Bitone currently sponsors 25 children and one of the earliest beneficiaries, Deborah, recently graduated and joined Bitone staff.
